Learning to Love My Body Again

I had been struggling with body image issues for years before I fell pregnant with my son.
Most of my issues started when I got the rod implant for birth control and I moved from a role at work where I was walking around, serving customers and helping the technicians to a desk role. I ended up putting on over 30kgs in the space of a year purely from the lack of movement and the fact that is was easier to buy lunch then bring it from home.
Even after I had the rod removed I truely struggled to lose the weight and hated looking in the mirror because I hated the way I looked
After I got pregnant with my son, my weight didnt bother me as much as I knew i was growing my baby and it was natural for me to get bigger, I started to love my body a bit more because it was doing what nature had designed it to.
Within 6 weeks of giving birth I was 5kgs lighter than I was before I got pregnant and as happy as I was seeing that number I was still not happy with my body as I realised I would never fit any of my old clothes again no matter what the number was on the scales, my hips had gotten so much wider while pregnant and my bra size had gone from being 12c before pregnancy to a 14E.Thats when I decided to stop focusing on the number on the scales and focus on feeling healthy and getting fit enough to keep up with my little man.
Which bring me to where I am now, I still have moments where I dot like to look in the mirror but I am starting to feel healthier and I am liking more about my body each day. It has been a true journey to get this far but I am not stopping now.
